In 1924, a brand called adidas was established in Herzogenaurach, Germany, under the name "Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory." The business was initiated by Adolf Dassler in his mother's home, with the assistance of his older brother Rudolf, who helped develop spiked running shoes. They successfully persuaded U.S. sprinter Jesse Owens to wear one of their designs for the 1936 Summer Olympics. adidas manufactures shoes for a wide range of sports such as soccer, basketball, football, skateboarding, running, baseball, tennis, and golf. The company also offers training shoes as a part of their footwear collection. Apart from shoes, adidas sells clothing and accessories.
